When I was old enough to hold a hammer, I was out in the garage helping my dad on woodworking projects.  In those days there wasn't any power tools except for an electric drill.  Still my dad preferred using a hand drill, so a hand drill it was.  I grew up knowing that making something out of noting was challenging and rewarding.  I find making things therapeutic, relaxing, and rewarding.  I never show anyone what I'm making until it's finished, just in case.  My Great Great Grandfather was a woodworker, my Great Grandfather built barns without any plans or nails!  I guess you can say it's in our blood.
